The team

An ecumenical team comprising nine members coming from the Catholic, Anglican, United Reformed and Lutheran traditions meets regularly throughout the year to plan and review the Centre's programme and activities. The present team members are:

Sister Christiane Lehair RSA
Sister Diane Reynolds RSA
Sister Regula Hug RSA
Sister Marie–Christine Berg RSA
Rev. Susanne Carlsson
John and Maureen Roberts
Rev. Sue Henderson
Sister Vivien Atkinson CSC

Spiritual Accompaniment and the giving of the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius are an important part of the ministry of 'The Centre'.

The team is also available to provide input/facilitation for groups at 'The Centre' at Eden Hall or in other parts of the country on request.

For those who wish during their stay, there is the opportunity to share something of their own life's journey or simply to have a 'listening companion'.

The in-house team

community

The community and some volunteers

'The Centre 'is very much at the heart of the life of the Community where hospitality has always been an important part of the sisters' ministry ever since they were founded. The in-house team provides the day to day running of 'The Centre', and each member of the Community contributes to this in one way or another, some more actively and others mainly through their daily prayer. There are ten sisters in the community - Sisters Christiane, Margaret, May, Teresa, Marjorie, Beatrice, Diane, Regula, Danielle and Marie Christine.

Alongside the administrative, catering, gardening, domestic and laundry staff there are other helpers coming from a variety of countries who participate in the life of the Community. Susanne from Sweden has lived with the Community for the past 5 years and there are one or two volunteers who usually stay with the Community for up to a year.

The extended team

'The Centre' is also supported by members of an extended team of about thirty people who are available to accompany retreats and prepare quiet days, as well as Spiritual Accompaniment. Both teams come together twice a year for 'a day for ourselves' to reflect on a particular theme, share on 'good spiritual practice' as well as networking and looking at what is happening on the 'retreat scene' from a wider angle. There are sometimes openings for new members to join the extended team. If you are interested please contact 'The Centre' by e-mail:
